We are delighted to announce that our expert, Mateusz Ciasnocha, a farmer from the Żuławy Wiślane region and President of the Board of European Carbon Farmers, is actively participating in the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP16), held under the auspices of the UNCCD. This key global event brings together leaders, experts, and practitioners from around the world to collectively address land degradation and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
Mateusz Ciasnocha represents the voice of farmers in decision-making processes, drawing on his extensive experience with the UN Climate Convention. During COP16, he is participating in the launch of the Riyadh Action Agenda, an initiative focused on farmers and agri-food systems as critical components of global efforts toward sustainable development.
As always, Mateusz takes the time to meet with local farmers at the event location, enabling him to better understand the specifics of regional agricultural challenges and solutions. This approach emphasizes the importance of bridging theory and practice in building a more sustainable future for agriculture worldwide.
