Whose Data We Process and Under What Principles

We process your personal data based on our legitimate interest to inform you about our activities and to manage relationships. Depending on the legal basis (see below), we process the data for the period required by law, until the end of Centrum’s operations, or until you object to further processing, request limitation of processing, or demand data deletion.

– Data of Centrum Supporters

If you are a supporter of Centrum, your personal data is processed based on your consent. This means your data will be processed until you withdraw your consent, noting that withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Consent withdrawal can be carried out as described in the “Rights of Individuals Whose Data We Process” section.

The personal data of supporters (e.g., names, surnames, email addresses, and phone numbers) is collected through the contact form on Centrum’s website, email communication, and during events organized by Centrum (e.g., congresses, conferences, expert meetings).

The personal data of supporters is used to inform about Centrum’s activities and manage relationships.

– Data of Donors

If you are a donor to Centrum, your personal data is processed to fulfill the legal obligations imposed on Centrum under applicable laws, especially accounting and tax regulations.

Personal data about donors is obtained from banks (e.g., sender’s name, surname, and address) or from services like Payu, odpalprojekt.pl, and zrzutka.pl, which facilitate donations to Centrum (e.g., name, surname, email address, and phone number).

These data are also used to thank you for your donation and inform you about Centrum’s activities. You can object to receiving such information at any time as described in the “Rights of Individuals Whose Data We Process” section.

– Data of Contractors

If you are or will become a party to an agreement with Centrum, your personal data is or will be processed to the extent necessary to prepare, conclude, and perform the agreement, including fulfilling legal obligations (e.g., tax-related). In such cases, data will be processed for the duration of the agreement and afterward until the expiration of claims arising from the agreement.

Agreements with Centrum may also include detailed provisions regarding personal data processing.

Rights of Individuals Whose Data We Process

Regardless of the legal basis for processing your personal data, you have the right at any time to learn what personal data we hold about you (typically name, surname, email address, phone number, and residential address). You may also request that we correct these data or, in cases permitted by law, limit their processing or delete them.

If you find any irregularities, you have the right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (uodo.gov.pl). However, we encourage you to contact us directly first, as we aim to promptly address and resolve any potential issues.
