Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw and a long-time employee of the Environmental Heavy Ion Laboratory of the University of Warsaw. In the years 1990-2004 he also worked at GANIL, SACLAY in France, HMI in Berlin, CERN, Indiana University Bloomington, University of Rochester. After obtaining his habilitation, he joined AGH, where he has been lecturing physics at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels since 2012. In 2023 he received the title of professor. Author of the textbook: &#8220;Thermodynamics from the basics to the synthesis of ammonia&#8221; and over ninety scientific papers published in renowned international journals in such fields as the study of radioactive contamination after the Chernobyl disaster, heavy ion physics, nuclear spectroscopy, spallation reactions, neutron detection, the use of high-temperature reactors in industry and thermohydraulics of light-water reactors, including SMRs, or low-power modular reactors. Research in the latter area resulted in the promotion of two doctors of technical sciences. A dozen or so years ago, he initiated the idea of \u200b\u200bimplementing low-power nuclear reactors in Poland. In 2012\u20132015, he managed the implementation of the \u201cDevelopment of High-Temperature Reactors for Industrial Applications (HTRPL)\u201d program, the main goal of which was to integrate the world of science and industry around nuclear energy. The industry was represented by KGHM, Tauron and PROCHEM, and the program also benefited from cooperation with PGE, Zak\u0142ady Azotowe in K\u0119dzierzyn-Ko\u017ale and Pu\u0142awy.
