A Year of Apparent Peace: The Center for Development Strategies Foundation on Decisions of Pivotal Importance for the Future of the Nation
The year 2026 may appear relatively stable after a succession of crises. Nevertheless, according to the authors of the report “Poland 2026: The Calm Before the Storm or the Foundation of a New Era?”, this period is characterized by escalating tensions that will dictate national stability and economic competitiveness in subsequent years. The publication, compiled by a team of experts from the CSR Foundation under the editorial direction of Marcin Chludziński, structures key economic, regulatory, and geopolitical megatrends, and outlines solutions to foster the resilience of the state and the economy.
The report encompasses eleven areas of pivotal importance for the future of Poland. The authors examine macroeconomic trends, the economy and public finances, energy, the labor market, demographics, trade, the taxation system, the operation of the justice system, the architecture of state resilience, the stability of the regulatory environment, and the conditions surrounding the reconstruction of Ukraine, including Poland’s role in the process. State resilience is addressed comprehensively as a system comprising security, infrastructure, the information sphere, institutional stability, and social cohesion.
